Source-checked About 10 minutes

Answer

Open the Compete tab to review an event, select its tournament mode from Play under By Epic, and enter only when the event is live and your account meets every displayed requirement.

Guide steps5 steps
  1. Review the event
  2. Check eligibility
  3. Select the tournament mode
  4. Enter during the session
  5. Check points and unresolved locks
  6. If it still does not work

Review the event

Open Fortnite's main menu and select Compete. Choose the event and read its schedule, region, format, rules, and eligibility before the session begins.

Check eligibility

If the event shows a lock, select it to see which requirement is missing. Requirements can include age, account level, rank, 2FA, prior tournament participation, or event-specific rules.

Select the tournament mode

Go to Play, open Mode Selection, and choose the tournament under By Epic. Confirm the selected event and region match the Compete card.

Enter during the session

Ready up while the event window is open and complete the match under its rules. Starting another mode does not count as tournament entry.

Check points and unresolved locks

Return to Compete to review points and remaining sessions. If locked, read the displayed missing requirement instead of changing the account's age or region.
