Epic Games Launcher Login Loop: How to Fix Repeated Sign-In
Source-checked · About 10 minutes
Answer
Confirm Epic's login service is working, fully exit the launcher, clear only its web cache, and sign in with the original account method. A repeated login prompt is not a reason to create a second account.
Check Epic Account Services and Login on the official status page. Wait if an incident is active because local repairs cannot restore Epic's authentication service.
Choose the same Epic, console, Google, Apple, or other provider button originally linked to the account. Using a different method can open a different Epic account and make the loop appear unresolved.
3
Exit the launcher fully
Close the window, right-click the Epic icon in the notification area, and choose Exit. Confirm it is no longer running before clearing cached browser data.
4
Remove only webcache folders
Open %localappdata%\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved and delete webcache, webcache_4147, or webcache_4430 only when present. Do not delete game installations or the whole Saved folder.
Restart the launcher and sign in once. If it returns to the login screen, save the exact provider, error, time, and whether web sign-in works for Epic Support.
6
Secure the recovered session
After sign-in succeeds, verify the Epic display name and linked platform accounts before launching a game or making a purchase. Review account security if the displayed identity or recent access does not match what you expect.

If it does not work
If browser sign-in also fails, use Epic's account-recovery process rather than repeatedly changing passwords.
If the launcher opens the wrong account, sign out and select the original linked provider instead of unlinking accounts.
