If both inboxes work, open Epic Account settings > Email > Edit, enter an unused new address, and keep the code window open. Enter the code from the current inbox, then use VERIFY YOUR EMAIL from the new inbox. If the current inbox is unavailable or unknown, keep any working session open and use Epic recovery.
Use the normal change only if you can open both the current Epic inbox and the unused new inbox. If the current address is unavailable, use Epic's account-recovery path. If you are signed in but do not remember the current address, keep that session open: Account settings shows a masked hint, and Epic says to use an Incognito window for its signed-out email-search flow rather than signing out of the working session.

Open Epic Account Settings
Sign in on Epic Games' website and open Account settings. Confirm the displayed account is the one you intend to change, then find the masked Email field and select Edit on its right. A Cabined Account may show different controls and must follow its guardian-supported path.

Enter the new email
Enter an address that is not attached to another Epic account, check every character, and select Continue. Epic opens Enter Security Code and sends “Email Change Request - Security Code” to the current inbox. Leave that Epic window open.

Confirm from the current email
In the current inbox, open the newest “Email Change Request - Security Code” message. Enter that code in Epic's still-open window and select Continue. Stop here unless Epic shows Please Verify Your Email Address and says a link was sent to the new inbox.

Verify the new email
Switch to the new inbox, open the newest “Please Confirm Your Email Address” message, and select VERIFY YOUR EMAIL. If the link opens in another browser or device and Epic asks you to sign in, use the old email address because the change is not complete yet.

Confirm the change
Wait for Epic's success confirmation, then return to Account settings and check that the masked Email field matches the new inbox. Stop when it does. Epic says changing the address does not affect game progress, cosmetic items, or purchases; neither inbox message nor its code should be shared.
If it does not work
If Epic rejects the new address, check its spelling and whether it is already attached to another Epic Games account. Do not create a second account to work around the message.
If a message is missing, first check the stage: the security-code subject belongs in the current inbox; the confirmation subject belongs in the new inbox. Search spam or junk and use only the newest code or link.
If you cannot access the current inbox, stop the normal workflow and select Trouble signing in or Lost access to this email address in Epic's recovery flow. Do not send codes, passwords, or full payment details to anyone offering recovery.
If the current address is unknown but a connected-platform sign-in still works, keep that signed-in session open. Use the masked hint in Account settings or Epic's email-search flow in a separate Incognito window.
