For an Elden Ring white screen that appears at startup and then closes, empty Steam's Launch Options box, verify the game files, and try again with mods and apps that display over the game closed. If Easy Anti-Cheat shows its own error, repair that service instead of changing display scaling or downloading replacement DLL files. The problem is fixed when Elden Ring reaches its title screen twice with those optional extras still closed.
Open Steam > Library, right-click ELDEN RING, and choose Properties > General. Launch Options is a box for optional text commands that change how the game starts. Delete any text from that box; if it is already empty, leave it empty.

Verify the game files
Open Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Let Steam reacquire any missing files, then wait until the verification fully completes.

Close optional add-ons for one launch
Disable Elden Ring mods, which are unofficial changes to the game, and turn off ReShade. Close overlays that display controls or performance information over the game, plus hardware monitors, RGB-lighting utilities, and automation tools. Then start Elden Ring from Steam rather than opening eldenring.exe directly.

Follow any Easy Anti-Cheat message
If Easy Anti-Cheat shows an error before the white screen, use its official repair guide. Easy Anti-Cheat is the background security service Elden Ring starts before online play. Do not delete its folder or download an anti-cheat installer from another website.

Check DirectX 12 support
Confirm the PC meets Elden Ring's Steam minimum, including 64-bit Windows 10, DirectX 12, 12 GB RAM, and a GTX 1060 3 GB or RX 580 4 GB. Install current Windows and graphics-driver updates from their official sources.

Confirm the result twice
Restart Windows and launch Elden Ring from Steam twice while the optional add-ons remain closed. The white-screen problem is resolved only if both attempts pass the publisher logos and reach the title screen without closing.
If it does not work
If Easy Anti-Cheat reports Error 30005, restart Windows first. The official EAC guide says a repeatedly locked EAC file can be caused by another installed program, including antivirus software.
If the PC does not support Elden Ring's DirectX 12 minimum, fullscreen flags and compatibility checkboxes cannot make the hardware supported.
If Elden Ring reaches the title screen but crashes only after loading a save, use the crash and freeze guide; the startup white-screen repair has already succeeded.
