Continue the story through the Markers of Plague quest. Return to the open world and wait for the game to save.

Check Techland's co-op requirement

Update every copy

On each PC or console, install the latest Dying Light 2 and system updates, then restart the game.

Check date and time

Set date, time, and time zone automatically on every player's device. Techland specifically asks players to match these.

Choose an online mode

Open Pause menu > Options > Online Options and select Friends Only or Public. Do not leave the game in Single Player.

Open Online Menu

Return to the pause menu and choose Online Menu. Select the friend and use Invite to Game or Join as shown.
