Choose a sign-up method you can recover

Enter an accurate date of birth
Provide the account holder's real birthday. TikTok uses age information for eligibility, privacy defaults, and feature access. Do not enter a false age to bypass protections.

Set a unique password when the sign-up method uses one, add a second verified contact method if available, and enable two-step verification from Security & permissions. Review active devices after setup.

Review privacy before posting
Open Settings and privacy > Privacy and review account visibility, comments, direct messages, downloads, mentions, and suggested-account controls. Defaults and available features vary by age and region.
If verification fails, confirm the country code, address, and access to the chosen phone or inbox, then request a fresh code after the displayed wait. If an email, phone number, or username is already in use, recover the existing account rather than creating conflicting identities.
