Duplicate the extracted project folder, then open the AEP or AET with File > Open Project. After Effects projects reference source files rather than embedding every asset, so retain the folder structure. If a conversion prompt appears for an older project, save the converted version under a new name instead of overwriting the downloaded original.
Read any documentation included by the author, inspect the Project panel, and identify the final render composition and the unlocked placeholder compositions. Resolve only assets and fonts that came with the licensed download or that you are licensed to use. Do not delete effect, controller, or expression layers merely because they look unfamiliar; duplicate a composition before experimenting.

Open the intended placeholder
Open the composition named “Place your logo here” and confirm it is the editable precomposition used by the render variants. If the name differs, follow the documentation included with the downloaded version.

Replace and fit the source content
Hide the sample logo, import your own with File > Import > File, and place it in the placeholder timeline. Use artwork with transparency when the animation expects no background rectangle. Adjust Scale and Position to fit the frame while preserving the logo's proportions.
Compare the available “Render this” variants and use the one that matches your intended pacing and background. To add licensed music or a sound effect, open “Place music here,” import the audio, and align it with the animation. Do not publish preview audio or fonts unless their licenses cover the final project.

Preview the final composition and troubleshoot
Open the preferred “Render this” composition, preview the complete duration, and allow After Effects to cache frames when first playback is uneven. Check the first and last frames, logo or text legibility, timing, and audio. If content is missing, verify that the replacement layer is enabled, spans the required timeline range, sits inside the correct placeholder composition, and has not been hidden by a guide or matte layer.

Save and render the finished animation
Save the editable project under a new name. Add the final composition to Adobe Media Encoder with File > Export > Add to Adobe Media Encoder Queue, choose a preset that matches the delivery platform, set the output location, and start the queue. Review the rendered file rather than treating a successful queue as proof that timing, transparency, audio, or cropping is correct.
