Steam can add the installed Roblox launcher as a non-Steam shortcut. This does not transfer Roblox ownership to Steam or guarantee Steam Overlay, achievements, controller mapping, or playtime tracking.
Install Roblox normally
Install and launch Roblox from its official source first so the current launcher is present on the PC. Sign in normally and close Roblox before adding the Steam shortcut.
Open Steam’s add-game menu
In the Steam desktop client, choose Games > Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library. Search the offered list before browsing for an executable.
Browse only when needed
If Roblox is not listed, choose Browse and select the installed Roblox launcher you use. Do not add a file downloaded from an unofficial shortcut or script pack.
Add the shortcut
Tick the Roblox entry and select Add selected programs. Rename the shortcut in Steam only if it helps identify it; this does not change the Roblox account or installation.
Launch-test once
Start the shortcut from Steam and confirm it opens the expected Roblox launcher or experience. Close it normally before editing any shortcut property.
Keep expectations limited
Use the shortcut as a library entry. If Steam Overlay or controller behavior is inconsistent, remove the shortcut or use Roblox normally rather than treating it as a Steam-native integration.

- If Steam cannot find the correct launcher, update or launch Roblox normally first, then repeat the Steam add-game flow.
- If the shortcut opens the wrong app, remove only that shortcut from Steam and add the correct installed launcher; it does not remove Roblox from Windows.
