Access Hidden Apps in Android Private Space
Source-checked About 10 minutes
Answer
On a supported Android 15 or later device, open All Apps, scroll to Private space, then unlock it with its configured lock to access the apps inside. Manufacturer-specific hide-app features use different paths, so this procedure does not apply to every Android phone.
Check the device scope
Confirm that the phone runs Android 15 or later and supports Private space. Private space is unavailable on some managed, supervised, secondary-user, or manufacturer-disabled devices.
Open All Apps
From the Home screen, swipe up or open All Apps. Scroll to the bottom of the app list until you find the Private space container.
Unlock Private space
Tap Private space and authenticate with the private-space lock or the device lock when no separate lock was set. Only access apps and data you are authorized to use.
Open the needed app
Select the app inside the unlocked Private space container. Private-space apps are isolated from the main profile and may not appear in the usual recent-apps or sharing views while locked.
Use Settings if needed
Open Settings > Security & privacy > Private space to unlock or review the feature's configuration. Do not assume an app hidden by a manufacturer launcher uses Private space.
Lock the space again
Return to All Apps and lock Private space when you are finished if the phone does not lock it automatically. Locking hides its apps from several system surfaces, including notifications and recents.

If it does not work
- If Private space is missing, confirm Android version, device support, management status, and that you are the main user; contact the device manufacturer for its launcher-specific controls.
- If you forgot the Private space lock, do not follow third-party bypass advice because Android warns that factory recovery is not available for that lock.
