Who we are

techy.how publishes the macOS app RenameFlow – Batch File Renamer. Contact: contact@techy.how

What the app does

RenameFlow helps users rename dozens, hundreds, or thousands of files quickly and safely on macOS.

You can:

  • Batch rename files and folders

  • Preview filename changes in real time

  • Apply operations such as find & replace, numbering, case conversion, and extensions

  • Use advanced tools like regex, metadata extraction, presets, and undo (Pro features)

All operations happen locally on your Mac.

Data we collect from the app

We do not collect personal data.

On-device only

All data used by RenameFlow is stored locally on your Mac, including:

  • Files you import into the app

  • Filename previews and rename mappings

  • Presets and app preferences

  • Undo history (stored temporarily or locally, depending on Free or Pro version)

RenameFlow does not upload, sync, or transmit this data anywhere.

No servers

RenameFlow does not operate any servers.
The app does not communicate with our infrastructure or with third parties.

File access & permissions

RenameFlow only accesses files and folders that you explicitly select via drag & drop or the macOS file picker.

The app:

  • Follows macOS sandboxing rules

  • Cannot access files outside of user-approved locations

  • Never scans your disk or background folders

  • Never uploads or copies your files without your action

Files are renamed or copied only according to your instructions.

Sharing & exports

If you export files, logs, presets, or scripts, macOS uses the system share sheet to send them to a destination you choose.

We do not receive these files or any information about where you send them.

Accounts, tracking, and ads

RenameFlow has:

  • No accounts or logins

  • No cloud syncing

  • No third-party SDKs

  • No analytics or telemetry

  • No tracking or identifiers

  • No ads

Diagnostics & crash reports

If you enable “Share Mac Analytics” in macOS system settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated and anonymized crash reports.

These reports:

  • Do not identify you

  • Do not include filenames, file paths, or file contents

  • Do not include preset data or rename history

Participation is fully controlled by Apple system settings.

Payments

RenameFlow Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store.

We do not receive:

  • Your payment details

  • Your Apple ID

  • Your billing information

Apple may provide us with aggregated sales reports that do not contain personal data.

When you contact us

If you email contact@techy.how, we will process the information you provide (such as your email address and message) solely to respond to your request.

We keep support communications only as long as necessary to resolve the issue.

Your rights (EU / EEA)

If you contact us and share personal data, you have the right to request:

  • Access

  • Correction

  • Deletion

  • Restriction of processing

  • Data portability

You may also object to processing.

You can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
In Luxembourg, this is the CNPD.

Children’s privacy

RenameFlow:

  • Has no accounts

  • Has no social features

  • Has no user-generated content

  • Has no ads

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not target children.

Security

RenameFlow is designed to work fully offline and keep all data on your device.

If you contact us by email, we take reasonable steps to secure those communications.

International transfers

RenameFlow does not use servers or cloud processing.
App data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

Emails you send to us may be processed by our email provider to deliver the message.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements.
The Effective date above will be updated when changes are made.
