techy.how publishes the iPhone & iPad app QR Code Reader & Generator.

What the app does

QR Code Reader & Generator lets you scan QR codes on-device and create your own codes (e.g., text/URL), then copy or export them using the iOS share sheet. An optional local history helps you reuse recent scans.

Data we collect from the app

We do not collect personal data.

On-device only: Scan results (history), created codes, and app settings are stored locally on your device.

No servers: The app does not send your data to us.

Sharing: When you copy/export or share, iOS uses the system share sheet to send content to the destination you choose. We do not receive it.

Device permissions & how they’re used

  • Camera: Used to show the live preview and detect QR codes.

  • Photos (optional): Only when you pick an image to scan or save an exported image.

  • Clipboard (optional): Read only when you tap “Scan from Clipboard.” No background reading.

Accounts, tracking, and ads

  • No accounts or logins

  • No third-party SDKs

  • No analytics or tracking

  • No ads

Diagnostics & crash reports

If you opt in to share analytics with developers in iOS settings, Apple may provide aggregated crash logs/diagnostics. These do not directly identify you.

Payments

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Apple may share aggregated sales reports with us (no personal data).

When you contact us

If you email contact@techy.how, we’ll process the information you provide (e.g., your email address and message) to respond. We keep messages only as long as needed to handle your request.

Your rights (EU/EEA)

If you contact us and share personal data, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and you may object to processing. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Luxembourg: CNPD).

Children’s privacy

The app has no user-generated content, social features, or ads, and is suitable for general audiences.

Security

The app is designed to work offline and store data on your device. (Your device or iCloud backups, if enabled, are managed by Apple.) If you email us, we take reasonable steps to secure those communications.

International transfers

We do not operate cloud services for this app and do not transfer app data internationally. Email communications may be processed by our email provider to deliver messages.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect app or legal changes. We’ll revise the Effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted where possible.
