Data we collect from the app

We do not collect personal data.

On-device only

All files you open, edit, compress, sign, or export are processed directly on your device.
PDF Toolkit Pro does not:

  • Upload PDFs

  • Access cloud services

  • Send your documents to any server

Your documents, annotations, signatures, preferences, and settings remain stored locally on your Mac. PDF Toolkit Pro App Summary

Saved signatures (if you choose to store any) are kept in:
~/Library/Application Support/PDFToolkitPro/signatures/

Recent files and settings are stored in macOS UserDefaults, also on-device.

No servers

We operate no backend servers for this app.
The app never transmits your PDFs or processing results to us or to third parties.

Sharing

If you export or share a PDF (for example after merging or compressing), macOS uses the native system share sheet.
You choose the destination (Mail, Messages, Files, AirDrop, etc.) and we do not receive that file.

Accounts, tracking, and ads

  • No accounts or logins

  • No cloud syncing

  • No analytics, tracking, or identifiers

  • No third-party SDKs

  • No ads

  • No profiling

The app works fully offline and does not monitor how you use it.

Diagnostics & crash reports

If you have opted in (system-wide) to share analytics with developers on macOS, Apple may send us anonymous, aggregated crash logs.

These may include:

  • Device type

  • macOS version

  • App version

  • Technical crash details

These logs do not contain your PDFs, text, annotations, compressed files, or any document content.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store (one-time Pro upgrade).
We do not receive your payment information.

Apple may share aggregated sales reports with us. These reports do not include any personal data.

If you email contact@techy.how, we will process the information you provide (your message and return email address) so we can respond.
We keep these messages only as long as needed to handle your request.

It is suitable for general audiences and does not target children.

Security

The app is designed for offline use and stores all data locally on your Mac.
Your PDFs never leave your device unless you explicitly export or share them.

For email support inquiries, we take reasonable steps to protect your communications.

International transfers

PDF Toolkit Pro uses no servers, performs no cloud processing, and stores all documents locally.

If you contact us by email, your message may be processed by our email provider solely to deliver and store that communication.
