Who we are

techy.how publishes the iOS app Mic Test Studio.

What the app does

Mic Test Studio helps users test whether their microphone sounds clear, loud enough, clean, and ready before a call, meeting, recording, podcast, video, stream, lesson, or voiceover.

The app measures live microphone input and provides plain-language results, such as whether the microphone is ready or needs work. It can show information such as input level, peak level, average level, clipping, silence or no-signal detection, background noise, active input route, sample rate, and microphone readiness results.

Mic Test Studio is a diagnostic tool. It does not enhance, equalize, suppress, auto-level, process, or change your audio.

Data we collect from the app

We do not collect personal data from the app.

Mic Test Studio is designed to work fully offline and on-device.

Microphone and audio data

Mic Test Studio needs microphone access to measure audio input and provide microphone test results.

Your microphone audio is processed locally on your iPhone or iPad. Audio does not leave your device.

The app does not send microphone audio to us, to a server, or to any third party.

The free version lets you record and play back one short test clip. This clip is temporary and is replaced when you record a new test clip.

If you use Pro features that save test history, microphone profiles, noise reports, comparisons, or exported reports, this information is stored locally on your device.

We do not operate servers for this app.

The app does not create accounts, upload data, or sync your microphone tests to a cloud service operated by us.

Sharing and exports

If you choose to export or share a report, audio clip, or summary, iOS uses the system share sheet to send that information to the destination you choose.

For example, you may choose to save a file, send it by email, share it with another app, or send it to another person.

We do not receive exported reports, audio clips, or shared files.

Accounts, tracking, and ads

Mic Test Studio does not use:

Third-party analytics
Advertising
Tracking
Cloud processing
Remote telemetry

The app is designed to run offline.

Diagnostics and crash reports

Mic Test Studio does not send app analytics or telemetry to us.

If you choose to share analytics with developers in your iOS settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated crash logs or diagnostics. These reports are provided by Apple and do not directly identify you.

The app may use Apple’s on-device diagnostic frameworks to help understand app performance locally. This does not send your microphone audio or app data to us.

Payments

Mic Test Studio offers optional in-app purchases to unlock Pro features.

Available purchase options may include:

Yearly subscription
Lifetime unlock

Purchases are processed securely by Apple.

We do not receive your payment card details or billing information.

Apple may provide us with aggregated sales and subscription reports. These reports do not include your microphone recordings or personal app data.

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID and can be cancelled in your App Store account settings.

If you email contact@techy.how, we will process the information you provide, such as your email address and message, to respond to your request.

We keep these messages only as long as needed to handle your request, provide support, or comply with legal obligations.

Your rights under EU/EEA law

If you contact us and share personal data, you may request:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

Mic Test Studio has no user-generated public content, no social features, no ads, and no tracking.

The app is suitable for general audiences.

Security

Mic Test Studio is designed to run offline and store app data locally on your device.

Your microphone audio and test data are not sent to us.

If you contact us by email, we take reasonable steps to secure those communications.

International transfers

We do not run cloud services for Mic Test Studio and do not transfer app data internationally.

If you contact us by email, your email may be processed by our email provider as needed to deliver and respond to your message.

If you choose to share or export data using the iOS share sheet, the destination you select is responsible for how that data is handled.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the app, our practices, or legal requirements.
