techy.how publishes the macOS app GradeCalc Pro.

What the app does

GradeCalc Pro helps high school and college students track grades, calculate semester and cumulative GPAs, and plan academic outcomes using “what-if” calculators.

You can:

  • Add courses with grades and credit hours

  • Calculate semester and cumulative GPA

  • Use “what grade do I need?” calculators

  • Track GPA trends across semesters

  • Export reports (PDF, CSV, or copy/share results)

Data we collect from the app

We do not collect personal data.

On-device only

All information you enter in GradeCalc Pro — including:

  • Courses

  • Grades

  • Credit hours

  • Semesters

  • GPA calculations

  • Notes, goals, and settings

is stored locally on your Mac.

We do not operate any servers for this app, and no academic data is transmitted off your device.

No servers

GradeCalc Pro does not send data to us or to any third party.
The app works fully offline and does not require an internet connection.

Sharing

If you choose to export, copy, or share data (for example, exporting a GPA report or transcript-style PDF), macOS uses the system share sheet to send that file to the destination you select.

We do not receive, access, or store any exported data.

Accounts, tracking, and ads

GradeCalc Pro has:

  • No accounts or logins

  • No cloud syncing

  • No third-party SDKs

  • No analytics or tracking

  • No ads

  • No profiling or identifiers of any kind

Diagnostics & crash reports

If you opt in to share diagnostics with developers in macOS system settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated crash or performance reports.

These reports:

  • Do not directly identify you

  • Do not include grades, GPAs, courses, or academic data

Participation is entirely optional and controlled by your system settings.

Payments

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

We do not receive your payment details.
Apple may provide us with aggregated sales reports that do not include personal data.

When you contact us

If you email contact@techy.how, we will process the information you provide (such as your email address and message) solely to respond to your request.

We retain support messages only as long as necessary to handle the inquiry.

Your rights (EU / EEA)

If you contact us and share personal data, you may request:

  • Access

  • Correction

  • Deletion

  • Restriction

  • Portability

You may also object to processing.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
In Luxembourg, this is the CNPD (Commission nationale pour la protection des données).

Children’s privacy

GradeCalc Pro:

  • Has no accounts

  • Has no social features

  • Has no user-generated public content

  • Shows no ads

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not specifically target children.

Security

GradeCalc Pro is designed to work offline and store all data locally on your device.

If you contact us by email, we take reasonable steps to secure those communications.

International transfers

GradeCalc Pro does not use servers or cloud processing.

App data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it.
Emails you send to us may be processed by our email provider to deliver the message.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements.

When updates are made, the Effective date above will be revised.
