Privacy Policy – DevInspect Browser

Effective date: 8 March 2026

Who we are

techy.how publishes the iOS app DevInspect Browser.
Contact: contact@techy.how

What the app does

DevInspect Browser is a web browser for iPhone built for web developers and designers. It lets users browse websites and inspect page elements, console messages, source code, storage data, and, for Pro users, additional developer tools such as network inspection, script execution, custom JavaScript snippets, and viewport simulation. Data we collect from the app

We do not collect personal data from the app.

On-device only

DevInspect Browser is designed so that user data stays on the device. Data created or saved in the app is stored locally on your iPhone.

This may include:

  • Bookmarks

  • Browsing history

  • Custom JavaScript snippets

  • App settings and preferences

  • Onboarding completion status

  • Subscription status cache

  • Viewport simulation preference

  • Cookies and local/session storage data managed by websites you visit through the browser

No servers

We do not operate servers for DevInspect Browser, and the app does not send your browsing data, bookmarks, history, snippets, or settings to us.

No storage of page content by us

The app is not designed to store page screenshots, page form entries, or copies of full page content for our own access. Website content is displayed on your device as part of normal browser use. Any site data that websites store in the browser environment remains on your device unless you clear it. DevInspect Browser PRD

Website data and browsing

When you use DevInspect Browser to open websites, your device connects directly to those websites and their services. Those websites may collect data from you according to their own privacy policies.

This can include things like:

  • Your IP address

  • Browser and device information

  • Cookies

  • Site usage data

  • Form submissions or login details you enter on their pages

We do not receive that website data from the app, except if you choose to contact us and include information yourself.

Bookmarks, history, cookies, and storage

DevInspect Browser may store certain browser-related information locally on your device to provide its features.

Bookmarks and history

Bookmarks and browsing history are stored locally on your device so you can revisit pages and use browser features.

Cookies and site data

Websites you visit may place cookies or use local storage or session storage in the app’s browser environment. DevInspect Browser may display and allow you to manage or delete this website-provided data on your device.

Clearing data

The app provides controls to clear:

  • Browsing history

  • Cookies and site data

These actions are performed locally on your device.

Developer tools and page inspection

DevInspect Browser includes developer tools such as Elements, Console, Sources, Storage, and, for Pro users, features such as script execution, editing, custom snippets, network inspection, and viewport simulation. These features are intended to work on the page loaded on your device.

Any edits, scripts, inspections, or tests you run are processed locally on your device in the browser context. We do not receive the results, inspected content, or executed scripts.

Accounts, tracking, and ads

  • No accounts or logins required for the app itself

  • No third-party analytics SDKs

  • No third-party advertising SDKs

  • No ads

  • No tracking for advertising purposes

Diagnostics and crash reports

DevInspect Browser does not use third-party crash reporting services.

Apple may provide diagnostics in limited cases:

  • If you enable analytics sharing with Apple and developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated or non-personally identifying crash or diagnostic information.

  • The app may use Apple system frameworks such as MetricKit for on-device diagnostics and performance information. This does not send data to us directly from the app. Any sharing depends on Apple’s systems and your device settings. DevInspect Browser PRD

Payments

DevInspect Browser may offer optional in-app purchases or subscriptions to unlock Pro features.

  • Payments are processed securely by Apple

  • We do not receive your full payment card details

  • Apple may share limited transaction information with us, such as whether a purchase was successful, the product purchased, country or region level reporting, and aggregated sales reports

  • We use this information only to provide access to paid features and manage the app’s business operations

When you contact us

If you email contact@techy.how, we will process the information you provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message, in order to respond to you.

We keep these communications only as long as needed to handle your request, provide support, or meet legal obligations.

Legal basis for processing

If you contact us or if we process limited purchase-related information provided by Apple, our legal bases under the GDPR may include:

  • Performance of a contract, where needed to provide app features you purchased

  • Legitimate interests, such as responding to support requests and maintaining the app

  • Compliance with legal obligations, where applicable

Because the app is designed to operate locally on your device without sending app data to us, most app activity does not involve us processing your personal data.

Your rights (EU/EEA)

If we process your personal data, for example when you contact us by email, you may have the right to request:

  • Access to your personal data

  • Correction of inaccurate data

  • Deletion of your data

  • Restriction of processing

  • Data portability, where applicable

  • Objection to processing, where applicable

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Luxembourg, this is the CNPD.

Children’s privacy

DevInspect Browser has no social features, no advertising, and no user-generated public content. It is intended for general audiences.

That said, the app is a browser and developer tool. Websites opened in the app may have their own content, services, and privacy practices. Parents or guardians should supervise children’s use of web browsing features where appropriate.

Security

The app is designed to keep user data on-device. We take reasonable steps to design the app in a privacy-focused way and avoid unnecessary data collection.

Please note that websites you visit through the browser operate independently from us. The security of information you enter on third-party websites depends on those websites and your network connection.

If you email us, we take reasonable steps to protect those communications, but no email system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

International transfers

We do not run cloud services for DevInspect Browser and do not transfer app data internationally through our own servers.

If you contact us by email, your message may be processed by our email provider and related service providers, which may involve international data transfers depending on their infrastructure.

If you purchase a subscription or in-app purchase, Apple may process transaction data according to its own systems and privacy terms.

Data retention

Because app data is stored locally on your device, you control how long most data remains there.

In general:

  • Bookmarks, history, snippets, settings, cookies, and related browser data remain on your device until you delete them, clear them in the app, or remove the app

  • Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for support, record-keeping, or legal purposes

  • Purchase-related information available to us through Apple is retained only as long as necessary for accounting, support, fraud prevention, and legal compliance

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app, legal requirements, or our practices. We will update the Effective date above.

Where appropriate, important changes will be highlighted within the app or on the relevant app listing.
