techy.how publishes the iOS app Benchmark Pro: Device Test.

What the app does

Benchmark Pro helps users test, understand, and document their device’s performance and hardware condition. The app runs benchmarks for CPU, GPU, memory, and storage, provides hardware and sensor diagnostics, shows performance trends, and allows users to generate reports for personal insight or device resale purposes.

Data we collect from the app

We do not collect personal data.

On-device only
All benchmark results, diagnostic data, sensor readings, reports, preferences, and history are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad.

No servers
Benchmark Pro does not send your app data to our servers.

Sharing
If you export a PDF report or share results, iOS uses the system share sheet to send that information to the destination you choose. We do not receive that data.

Permissions used by the app

Benchmark Pro requests access only when needed for specific features:

  • Camera – used only for camera diagnostics and LiDAR tests (if supported by your device)

  • Microphone – used only for the microphone and speaker test

  • Motion sensors – used for accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer readings

  • Local file access – used to generate and export PDF reports

These permissions are used only during the corresponding tests and are never used for tracking or background collection.

Accounts, tracking, and ads

  • No accounts or logins

  • No third-party SDKs

  • No analytics or tracking

  • No advertising

Diagnostics & crash reports

If you opt in to share analytics with developers in iOS settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated crash or performance diagnostics. These reports do not directly identify you.

Payments

Benchmark Pro offers optional in-app purchases to unlock Pro features (subscription or lifetime unlock).

  • Purchases are processed securely by Apple

  • We do not receive your payment details

  • Apple may provide us with aggregated sales reports (no personal data)

Pro purchases are linked to your Apple ID and can be restored on your eligible devices according to Apple’s policies.

When you contact us

If you email contact@techy.how, we process the information you provide (such as your email address and message) solely to respond to your request. We keep this information only as long as necessary to handle your inquiry.

Your rights (EU / EEA)

If you contact us and share personal data, you may request:

  • Access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your data

  • To object to processing

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Luxembourg: the CNPD).

Children’s privacy

Benchmark Pro has no user-generated content, social features, or advertising. It is suitable for general audiences.

Security

Benchmark Pro is designed to run offline and store all data locally on your device. If you contact us by email, we take reasonable measures to protect those communications.

International transfers

We do not operate cloud services for Benchmark Pro and do not transfer app data internationally. Email communications may be processed by our email provider to deliver messages.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect app or legal changes. We will revise the Effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
